Deep tissue/sports massage aims to restore the integrity of the deeper layers of connective and muscular tissue. It utilises a variety of massage techniques designed to help your body feel looser and stronger. This session promotes muscle recovery and improves range of motion.

What's included

Massage session can incorporate deep tissue technique, myofascial release, compressions, stretching, cupping, kinesiotaping, IASTM (Instrumented Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation) and the use of a percussion massage gun. It is considered a beneficial treatment for professional athletes, but it can be valuable to anyone, no matter how physically active.

Sport massage is for you if you

  • Are recovering from a sports injury
  • Are a professional athlete or physically active
  • Feel like your body is stiff, sore or achy
  • Want to enhance your performance and prevent injuries in the future

Will the massage be painful?

Massage should not be painful. Some techniques, such as deep tissue massage, may cause mild discomfort, but pressure can always be adjusted to your comfort level.

What is the difference between sports and classical massage?

Deep tissue massage targets muscles and connective tissue more deeply than a classic massage. Sports massage uses various additional techniques and supportive tools (trigger point therapy, cupping therapy, IASTM), while a classic massage focuses primarily on relaxation and overall well-being.

Which massage session is better: 1 hour or 1.5 hours?

This depends on your individual needs and preferences. A 90-minute session allows more time to focus on specific problem areas and provides more targeted treatment. If you have a more muscular build or areas that require extra attention, a 1.5-hour massage is highly recommended, as a 1-hour session may not be sufficient to work the entire body effectively.

How often should I get a massage?

This depends on your lifestyle and goals. Massage is an individual experience, and my approach is based on individuality. If you are interested in general wellness and self-care, then once or twice a month is ideal. If massage is a part of a recovery process, then more often is possible.
